2015: ‘Only PDP Can Accommodate All Nigerians’

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday said it remains the only party that can unite all the complexities in Nigeria, just as it added that the transformation agenda is working.
The PDP national youth leader, Abdullahi Maibasira, stated this after inaugurating the PDP national Youth Awareness forum at the PDP national secretariat, Abuja.

Speaking during the inauguration, the youth leader said, “PDP is the only political organisation that has what it takes to advance the cause of democracy in the country. PDP is the only party that can manage the complexities of Nigeria regardless of where we all come from.”
He noted that the inauguration provides an opportunity to reflect on the performance of President Goodluck Jonathan’s performance ahead of 2015. He said, “As youths we have come to the conclusion that our party has performed well and has kept the flag flying. We will continue to keep faith and ensure we use our youthful disposition to play our part in peaceful endeavours.”
He continued “we have to review performance of transformation agenda. It is working and youths play essential part in President Jonathan’s transformation agenda. It is here to ensure peace prosperity hope and democracy will continue to flourish.”
He however charged the group against, indiscipline and rancour noting that “ in every level zonal or state they must ensure that zonal and state leader is not only involved in activities but are also carried along and play a pivotal role to ensure stability in youth movement.”
On her part, Minister of environment, Mrs Laurencia Malam, who was represented by an aide, said youths cannot be ignored. She said if youths and women collaboratively participate in any endeavour it becomes a success.
She therefore charged the group to make sure they generate programmes for youth and women aim at development of the polity.
